Pastry Chef and Proprietor Becky Satterfield, Tuscaloosa native, like many southerners came to cooking honestly: first by watching her mother and grandmother, then helping stir and cracking eggs, then cooking right alongside them learning their methods and cultivating a love for making people happy with good food. After working in the legal and financial fields in Houston she returned to Alabama with her husband and daughter. Once Milyn had graduated high school, Becky decided to add a bit of formality to her home-grown culinary education and attended Culinard studying pastry arts. She began to cater parties for friends and neighbors and well, the rest is history. When not overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, you’ll find Becky honing her Scrabble skills or doting on her beloved schnauzers, Mimi and Tricia and grand-dog Chaboochie.
